Golden Shore Maternity Session

I am thrilled to finally be able to share all the gorgeous families, couples and individuals that I had the utmost pleasure of photographing in the last year.

The star of today's blog post is a very down to earth, absolutely sweet and totally stunning Kayla! While she was expecting her little girl, Kayla reached out to me wanted to know if I can capture maternity, birth and newborn portraits for their family. As a family photographer, I photograph all and every event in my client's lives but baby bellies are my absolute favorite. I immediately set a date to meet her and her hubby over coffee to see if we would be a good match.

This red haired beauty was calm, cool and collected when we met. It was so special to observe the bond her and Robert have and how excited they are to welcome their sweet girl into their little family. They were set on beach maternity portraits but wanted a location that also offered cliffs and some greenery and I knew just the perfect place!

I could tell these images were of incredible value to Kayla. She was looking for a photographer that could truly portray all the emotions they shared over becoming new parents. I adored her vision for the maternity session and more so the fact that she prefered to use bold gown colors such as this beautiful moss and burgundy!

Their sunset beach maternity session still remains one of my favorite shoots to date. Sometimes, we as photographers are just so lucky to meet people we click with and they make our job so easy.

Kayla effortlessly portrayed grace and style and Robert was always near to join in the portraits and offer his hand to his beautiful wife. This 35 week belly bump photographed beautifully and this mama was just the perfect maternity model.

Over a month went by until we met little baby Reese (who was a little too snug in her mama's belly) and I was by their side to capture her arrival!

Stay tuned for the next blog post documenting their birth story!
