Love & Babies in the time of COVID - San Diego Maternity Portraits

I've had a vision for these gothic maternity portraits for a while now. It all came together rather perfectly at the San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside. This boho-meets-goth maternity portrait session turned out even better than I could have imagined. The person style of these expecting parents and our historical location just complimented each other and that stunning maternity gown we put her in made her look like the queen that she is!

I absolutely adore how maternity portraits and getting glammed for photos can boost a person's confidence levels. Especially those of an expecting mama. Being pregnant during COVID is no easy feat. It is no secret that the third trimester brings on a lot of discomfort and changes the body so much. But that one day that my client gets to do her hair, put on her make up and slip into an extraordinary gown - it truly elevates the mood!

My clients always tell me "wow, this dress is so comfortable", "this material is so stretchy" - and it brings me joy to know they are confident and feel beautiful during their session! These two knocked their rustic maternity portraits right out of the park!
