San Diego Newborn Photographer/ Meet Elijah

I first met Elijah's parents during a maternity session in Carlsbad, CA. They made quite a drive to reach me. It was a grey and stormy afternoon. We were on and off the phone deciding if we should go ahead with the session since it looked like rain was inevitable.

We finally decided to risk it and met at a beautiful beach not far from downtown Carlsbad. Janet looked absolutely stunning; she had her hair an make up professionally done and David was at her side looking sharp as well.

The session flowed beautifully. We were able to capture Janet in two beautiful maternity gowns that complemented her beautiful growing baby. They shared that they are welcoming a son and his name is going to be Elijah.

Once we wrapped up and I was already back home, I received a text message from Janet that brought tears to my eyes. It was a simple but very powerful:

"You don't understand how much this photo shoot meant to me and my husband! We tried for 4 years to get pregnant...we went through rounds of infertility treatment until we finally concieved with our miracle baby. This photoshoot was something I have dreamt of for years".

For everyone out there trying to get pregnant or recovering from a loss or dreaming of one day having a baby - Elijah is proof that miracles do happen. They just take a little time!
